Drawn Together Was a Full On Depiction of Taboo
Who dares to venture into taking on taboo topics, I know one name. Infact most Americans know the name, “Drawn Together.” It was an animated TV show that dared to take on taboo subjects in a full on manner. “Drawn Together” TV series was a daredevil like effort on the part of producers of this animated series. To present controversial topics in an acceptable manner is a Herculean task for sure. It is the bold, not the meek, who dare to produce such a rare piece of animation. It was so funny sometimes that I felt like vomiting the laughter out of my throat, as I could not handle my laughter fits.
Three seasons of “Drawn Together” were like three different enchanting flowers. Each one having a relation with other season but yet so original in its content that was beyond comparison. “Drawn Together” TV show crossed almost the whole ocean of taboo subjects. It touched controversial topics like homosexuality, gays, masturbation, kinky sex, bisexuality and much more. It really had whole variety of spices mixed into a single TV show. “Drawn Together” added its own flavor of entertainment to the mesmerizing category of animation TV shows. It was a unique idea, which was something beyond animation. It had a black comedy element to it. In addition, the cartoon characters in “Drawn Together” TV show were more real than mere work of animation.
