Stock Characters Were the Essence of “Drawn Together”

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Characters, Reviews

The success of animated series “Drawn Together” was not a fluke but it was based on the strong foundation of stock characters and parody. To understand the term stock character might be difficult for a layman. Putting it in simple words, it implies the characterization that is based upon the name of famous character and its cultural background. This was the main USP of “Drawn Together.” When stock characterization is mixed with parody the recipe that turns out is definitely a mouth watering one and that’s why we were disappointed when this animated series was cancelled. Who would not like to keep on feasting on such a wonderful dish.

The character of Princess Clara in “Drawn Together” was a parody of princesses of earlier Disney Productions. The character was highly pampered, had staunch religious attitude and often indulged in racism. This was one among many of the stock characters on this animated series. The show really succeeded in adding an element of sarcasm via such unique characterization.

Producing a successful animated series like Drawn Together, really takes efforts of the entire production team. Writers have to come out with a relevant script. Those involved in animation have to make sure that each character has unique identity and features that clearly distinguish it from others. This has to be strongly backed by efforts of other technical experts. “Drawn Together” was product of a wonderful and cohesive team effort.

“Drawn Together” had all the vital ingredients as well as it had an adult humor to it. It had sections that could be attributed to black comedy as well. To taste these ingredients once again, this website really is a great source. You can download any number of episodes of this animated series from this website. You can rest assured that downloads are of premium quality with no editing. The sound and video quality of the episodes of “Drawn Together” is also just great.

Drawn Together: Celebrating The Show In Grand Style

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Celebrity gossip, Download Drawn Together, Reviews

Hello everybody, I have a great piece of news for you all. We will be getting a golden opportunity to celebrate the animated series Drawn Together one more time, as Drawn Together DVD movie is scheduled to be released by the end of 2009.

Comedy Central’s Drawn Together is a wonderful parody of distinct characters from varying backgrounds which had their share of sarcastic moments and is hard to erase from our memories. It has been two years since it has been cancelled, but my thirst for the show has been such that I still yearn for more. However, now my nerves have eased out as I can look forward to a movie based on the show.

Cartoon shows rarely have a plot that is based on a reality show. This is one area where Drawn Together has been a cult animated series. Having the characters live in a house that resembles the one used in the reality show The Real World and with characters even taking up challenges based on the challenges featured in reality TV shows, has categorized it as an animated reality show. In addition, the show has dealt with the modern day hot topics with witty humor and has had a hard hitting impact on the audiences.

“More Is Less”, this proverb goes perfectly well with this animated series as far as praising it is concerned. Coming back to the news of a movie based on Drawn Together, it has definitely brought smiles to the faces of its die hard fans like me. A movie based on the show will be a perfect way to turn the curtains down on this amusing animated series.

Drawn Together might be the name given to the show I feel that is actually represents how strongly it has drawn appreciation from various quarters of the audience. The bond I have with the show will be strengthened even more with release of a movie based upon it.

‘Drawn Together’, just remembering the third season!

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Reviews

We all know very well that there’re no chances of Drawn Together’s retrieval with fourth season so we’re just soothing our longing to watch the episodes of ‘Drawn Together’ by watching the previous episodes of series.

Well, the whole third season Was very entertaining and all episodes were good…. We enjoyed a lot. Opening episode ‘Freaks & Geeks’ gave a good start to the season and the rest of the episodes followed the trend set by the first episode of season. It was very thrilling to see Captain Hero discovering that Greeks had moved in next door. Very soon, all his plans got shattered when he discovered that they wouldn’t let them rush their house so he set his sights on revenge. And, it was more-than-entertaining when we saw Ling-Ling’s sickly father falling in love with Toot.

And, the second episode of series was distinct because of its title. Its title was extremely big ‘Wooldoor Sockbat’s Giggle-Wiggle Funny Tickle Non-Traditional Progressive Multicultural Roundtable’ and can be considered as one of the biggest episode titles ever. Storyline was also fantastic, exactly like we always expect from ‘Drawn Together’ episodes.

It was the Spelling Bees competition and we saw Foxxy competing in it. We next saw that the city was in danger as Captain Hero’s son attacked on it. WOW…………..  the next episode was ‘N.R.A.y RAY’ and here Captain Hero took up hunting. We also saw Ray-Ray in the walls of the Drawn Together house. Hanging out with cool kids was enough to make Captain Hero desperate in the episode entitled ‘Mexican’t Buy Me Love’.

Love was in the air as Spanky was in love with Charlotte, the spider. And, Ling-Ling was also ready to burn the dance floor with his dancing skills in the episode entitled ‘Charlotte’s Web of Lies’. It was the episode ‘Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care’ in which Ling-Ling was sent to foster care. And, in the end of the third season ‘Drawn Together’, we saw all housemates competing in an American Idol type talent contest.

So, above all are my favorite episodes of the third season of series. Although all were good but above ones entertained, at least me, more than the rest. You too can watch all episodes of series here!

Foxxy vs. the Board of Education review

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Characters, Download Drawn Together, Latest news, Reviews

Second episode of second season of ‘Drawn Together’ was really an entertaining one. Although ‘Drawn Together’ has always been a very sweet and funny animation series, but I guess that ‘Foxxy vs. the Board of Education’ was the funniest episode of the second season of series. Hey…. Why those characters are so smart and sweet?

It began with Spanky and Captain Hero who’re on the right track to make another joke about Xandir being gay. Later, Spanky, started flashing and cutting in and out and Captain Hero had to take him to the Hospital. Foxxy was seen solving another mystery. Spanky, who’s at the Hospital bed, discovered that he was suffering with deadly cuddly bear virus and he’s in need of health insurance. Cops required a copy of Foxxy’s mystery solving license. Ultimately, she decided to go to college and get the mystery solving license. Xandir let Spanky know that he had health insurance which would cover his spouse also. Spanky got a ray of opportunity and decided to gay marry Xandir so that he could avail the health insurance as being his partner.

Next we saw Xandir and Spanky at a skating show and Spanky was about to propose to Xandir. Circumstances made Xandir to say a yes to Spanky. Foxxy got ready to take Ling Ling’s SAT test only if she would become his best friend. When Xandir and Spanky were about to marry each other, Clara appeared and told them that gay marriage was an evil.

Spanky and Xandir went to Hospital to have pills for Spanky meanwhile Clara told the King of Insurance about their fake marriage. Foxxy got her test results and came to know that she had failed the test. On the other hand, Spanky and Xandir showed the snaps of their pseudo honeymoon to the King of Insurance. Apparently, they adopted a Pilipino baby. At the end of the episode, Spanky admitted to not being a gay and Foxxy got a mystery solving badge from police. The complete episode is available to download here…. You can also watch online!

Sweet characters of ‘Drawn Together’

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Characters, Download Drawn Together, Latest news, Reviews, Watch Episode

Well, as per my thinking the best part of any animation series can only be the characters of the show. And, the whole credit of the success of any animated drama must be given to the characters only. I loved ‘Drawn Together’ very much when it was on air and of course I still love it. Throughout the three season long run, I loved all episodes and never skipped even a single episode. All episodes are my favorite and have downloaded all. If you too want to download any episode of ‘Drawn Together’, you can click here and download now.

Okay, let’s talk about the characters of ‘Drawn Together’ which made it our favorite animation series. And, the very darling characters are:

1.Princess Clara: A princess who is pampered, racist and hyper religious as well. She’s a parody of Disney princesses such as Ariel of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
2.Foxxy Love: The very clever, sharp tongued and sluttish mystery solving musician. She parodies Valerie Brown from Josie and the Pussycats. It’s also assumed that she’s a parody of Foxy Brown, heroine of the 1974 film of same name.
3.Ling-Ling: A lampoon of the Pokemon franchise fame Pikachu. He has supernatural powers and abilities and speaks pseudo-Japanese gibberish.
4.Wooldoor Sockbat: He’s voiced by James Arnold Taylor who spoofs the typical reality resisting attributes of Looney Tunes characters.
5.Xandir P. Wifflebottom: He is known for being hypersensitive, homosexual, overemotional, and effeminate and represents the video games heroes such as Link.
6.Spanky Ham: He parodies Internet Flash Cartoon characters and is a sex obsessed, toilet humored and obnoxious one.

Well, there are several other characters which have been an important part of the show. Writing about all would not be possible so just highlighting my favorite ones. You can write about the one whom you loved the most through comments.

‘The Other Cousin’: the best episode of the season one

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Latest news, Reviews, Watch Episode, watch Online

The Other Cousin’ is the most entertaining and enjoyable episode of season one. Although ‘Drawn Together’ is always a funny show, but I found this episode as the funniest one. Here for the first time in the entire first season, an interesting character visits the house. Clara’s mentally retarded cousin Bleh arrives in the house and all the housemates are tense that she might create some problems in the house. Clara is also irritated by her arrival as she can prove to be a disgrace for her in the house.

Bleh has a strange appearance. She always wears a football helmet. When she first enters the house, she is wearing a brown over coat over a green gown that ends above her ankles, along with brown sports shoes. All the housemates find her funny. Spanky and Captain Hero even try to play pranks on her. They hide in the hot tub and plan to throw eggs at her. But something truly opposite happens over there. She comes there, removes her helmet and her long red hair come tumbling down. Then she removes her clothes- her sculpted body and huge breasts leaves Hero and Spanky speechless. Left impressed with her bewitching beauty both forget about the prank. Now Clara comes to call Bleh and both leave.

Now Spanky prompts Hero enter into a bet whether Hero can get Bleh in his bed once. Captain Hero accepts the challenge and says that this is pretty easy task for him. Next day, he takes Bleh on a date. There, Bleh tells him that she’s a virgin and won’t come any closer to him. Impressed, Captain decides to respect her chastity. But on the same night, she sneaks into his room and since she shows her keenness, Hero decides that it’s not actually taking advantage of her and they end up sleeping together.

The next morning, Clara learns about their one night stand and becomes angry, but Hero expresses his true feelings for Bleh to calm her down. At the same time, Spanky comes and congratulates Hero for winning the bet. Now Clara instructs Hero to stay away from Bleh. But he is too madly in love that he follows Bleh to her bus, as she is going back home to say goodbye.

When Bleh gets in the bus it is shown that she too had a bet with her friend to have sex with a TV celebrity and Hero was her victim. She is happy to win 50$. Now she waves to the devastated Hero, and Spanky tries to cheer him up with ‘spin the bottle’. I really enjoyed this episode, try it once. Really, it was very enjoyable!!

The Last Waltz- Season Finale review

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Reviews, watch Online

There is a lot much of hustle-tussle in the finale episode. If you want to watch a rare kind of wedding, then do watch this episode. The episode begins with Hank’s dream, when he falls off from a cliff and lands on his bed and finds Karen sitting beside him. May be this dream sequence is an intuition of fulfillment of his desire to reunite with Karen. But Becca awakes him as they are getting late for Karen’s much awaited wedding with Bill.

This episode is blended with emotional drama, touching stuff along with some humor. In the wedding, Bill tells Mia that he can’t publish her book to protect his reputation. Due to this, angry Mia drinks heavily and starts criticizing Bill for wedding Karen in front of guests. When Hank tries to stop him for courtesy reasons, she discloses off her one night stand with him, which was a secret for Bill and Karen throughout the season. Now raged Bill knocks down Hank. Everybody at the wedding is astonished due to this incident. Mia, because of her friendship with Becca, lies to her that she is entirely responsible for her fling with Becca’s father.
Now the scene opens at reception of Bill and Karen and lot many amazing things do happen there. Charlie and Marcy, who were trying hard to make over their wedding throughout the season, reconcile at last. Hank is shown looking at them making love in the backyard.

After some moments he catches Becca kissing a boy and reacts in his distinctive style by teasing the boy saying, “Check Yo self before you wrickety-wreck yo self.” This line is actually part of lyrics of a song ‘Check Yourself’ from ‘Ice cube’. He tells Becca that he will wait for her in the car.
Later, when Hank and Becca are about to drive away, Karen comes out running and screaming and jumps into back seat, while Bill is chasing her. She tells Hank to drive fast before she changes her mind again. As Hank drives, the scene closes down with showing their car disappearing in the dark. In the end of the episode, Hank’s dream intuition proved to be true as the entire family is shown reunited in California.

The episode ends with the same song, which was played in the beginning of first episode of the season. It’s ‘You can’t always get what you want’ from The Rolling Stones.

I’ve watched this episode for several times. This is quite a funny story and now I am curious about the second season. Whether Hank and Karen will stay together or there’ll be some new twist they are going to introduce in upcoming season. Let’s wait and watch.

Season One review

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Reviews, watch Online

Season one is like a pile of fairy tales books. The first episode is an introductory episode, depicting the reality TV concept of the show where assorted stock characters of cartoon and comic world come to live togather in a house as in ‘The Real World’. But in the second episode it changes the track. In episode ‘Clara’s Little Dirty Secret’, Clara tells her fairy tale about the curse of her stepmother, which resembles the story of ‘Snow White’ but in a dirty way. In this episode, it is learnt that her genitals are actually a monster with many tentacles due to the curse, but that monster gets agitated only after hearing some loud noise, otherwise it’s a nice creature. Clara calls it Octopussoir.

In the third episode, Xandir is suspected to be a gay by other house inmates, and they finally make him accept this. This news creates frictions in his relationship with his girl friend. Now to soothe the depressed Xandir, Clara raises a helping hand by giving him a magic lamp to wish to become normal. But the bad luck shines over Xandir, as the genie himself is a homosexual and gets attracted towards Xandir. The genie is kidnapped by his arch nemesis, to bring back his self respect. Xandir now accepts this reality that he’s a gay.

In next episode, a food competition is held between two teams with the condition that losing team won’t get any food for a week. Finally Foxxy’s team wins and Toot in the winning glory, eats excessively and gains weight. Now, Xandir helps her in getting back to her actual size in such a way, that she vomits all over in the house. Other members suggest her to just check her eating disorders, instead of over exercising.

In the same episode, Captain Hero is shown to be dying of starvation for being the member of losing team, so he makes a deal with Foxxy and agrees that she can humiliate him in exchange of food. Foxxy takes advantage of this situation and sexually exploits him.

In ‘The Other Cousin’, Clara’s mentally retarded cousin visits the house and ends up having fling with Captain Hero, who falls in love with her. The last episode brings an earthquake in the house, when the housemates learn that there will be no prize for their stay in home contrary to the declaration made prior to sending them inside. To cool them down, Producer sends Billionaire Bucky Bucks to engage all of them in stupid games to prevent protest by them.
I would call the season a steadily developing story and the sequence of episodes is such that if you watch these together, it will be like watching an animated movie.

Have you seen Drawn Together Babies?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: About Show, Reviews, Watch Episode, watch Online

Drawn Together Babies’ is a fantastic episode, check it out why? In this episode, all the characters are little cute toddlers. They look so pretty that you can’t resist this episode. It is quite similar to ‘Looney Toons Kids’ on Cartoon Network and that too is one of my favorite shows. Being the kids, they are different from their grown up characters. Like Foxxy is reluctant towards nudity, and Spanky is a cleanliness freak. A babysitter, Charlotte, is the care taker of these kids.

One day, Charlotte announces that her boyfriend Chad is coming, so all the kids need to go to bed early. Now, agitated kids plan to spoil the scene and Spank becomes their leader. Kids construct a trap to lock her up in a nursery closet. But Ling Ling notices something wrong with the plan, but everybody ignore his doubts. Consequently, the baby sitter is mistakenly killed. This particular incident which results in guilt and depression brings out the behavioral changes among kids. Their actual characters later in the series, is the fallout of this accident. Now adding to chaos, Chad arrives over there.

After this, the episode switches on to immense fun and I couldn’t resist laughing at any single scene. Foxxy makes a plan that Princess Clara, Xandir, Ling Ling and Spanky will portray Charlotte by wearing a trenchcoat and a wig, whereas, Foxxy, Toot and Walter Saget would dump Charlotte’s body into the pool. Now Duplicate Charlotte’s duty is to engage Chad while the other team is dumping the body. Meanwhile, Chad suggests that Charlotte should meet his family. When they reach Chad’s place, Chad’s family reject this Charlotte with Spanky as her head and Chad’s brother, Chase makes fun of his love.

Now, angry Chad ignores them and runs off with his love to a sleazy Motel. To prevent any risk, now Xandir comes at Spanky’s place and persuades Chad to go out. But to their surprise, after Chad leaves, his brother climbs through window into the room. Now kids learn that he too had an affair with Charlotte and she’s pregnant. At the same moment Chad arrives and both have a fight over this. Meanwhile Charlotte announces that her water has broken and it’s time for baby’s birth, as unable to control anymore Spanky’s pees in his pants. When they reach hospital, a baby had to come, so Charlotte gives birth to Ling Ling(acting as feet).

Now, a doctor declares that Ling Ling looks like a fellow resident doctor and this fact relieves the two brothers, they reunite and leave. Later it is disclosed that the doctor himself is also four babies in a trench coat who allows them to go home.

At home, while dumping the body, kids discover that Charlotte was just unconscious, which prods Toot to murder her and this time they put her body into a abandoned refrigerator as it doesn’t fit into pool.
Try this episode here and I bet you would roll down on floor laughing.
