Despite all the criticism that Drawn Together invited from the guardians of morality during its run on Comedy Central, the show is back and this time in a raunchier avatar as a straight to DVD movie.
The plot of the upcoming movie entitled The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie revolves around the main characters as they try to get their show back on air once Foxxy notices that she and other housemates could curse without being bleeped. As they were not able to do that ever before, it dawns on them that their show has been cancelled and they are not on air anymore. As they are resolute to get back on the air, they travel to far-off places as Bedrock, a Fairy Tale Village and the fantastical Make-a-Point Land. All their endeavors are countered by their enemies who are hell bent on keeping them off the air and would not shy from using any mean, fair or foul, necessary to do so.

The DVD is scheduled to be released in March 2010. It will be released by Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. Both are units of entertainment giant Viacom Inc.
.”‘Drawn Together’s’ reunion with Comedy Central is like marrying an old ex-girlfriend,” quipped creators, writers and executive producers Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser. “I mean, are we doing this because we love each other and are destined to be together? Or is it because neither one of us could do any better? As is often the case, it’s probably both.”
“Drawn Together” was premiered on Comedy Central in Oct. 2004 and aired for three seasons and 36 episodes. The show remained mired in controversy during its entire run. USA Today considered Drawn Together TV Show “the smutty offspring of Real World and Superfriends,” It went so far as to state that the pilot pushed the limits of taste, being overpowered by violence, sex, and disgusting subject matter.

The success of animated series “Drawn Together” was not a fluke but it was based on the strong foundation of stock characters and parody. To understand the term stock character might be difficult for a layman. Putting it in simple words, it implies the characterization that is based upon the name of famous character and its cultural background. This was the main USP of “Drawn Together.” When stock characterization is mixed with parody the recipe that turns out is definitely a mouth watering one and that’s why we were disappointed when this animated series was cancelled. Who would not like to keep on feasting on such a wonderful dish.

The character of Princess Clara in “Drawn Together” was a parody of princesses of earlier Disney Productions. The character was highly pampered, had staunch religious attitude and often indulged in racism. This was one among many of the stock characters on this animated series. The show really succeeded in adding an element of sarcasm via such unique characterization.
Producing a successful animated series like Drawn Together, really takes efforts of the entire production team. Writers have to come out with a relevant script. Those involved in animation have to make sure that each character has unique identity and features that clearly distinguish it from others. This has to be strongly backed by efforts of other technical experts. “Drawn Together” was product of a wonderful and cohesive team effort.
“Drawn Together” had all the vital ingredients as well as it had an adult humor to it. It had sections that could be attributed to black comedy as well. To taste these ingredients once again, this website really is a great source. You can download any number of episodes of this animated series from this website. You can rest assured that downloads are of premium quality with no editing. The sound and video quality of the episodes of “Drawn Together” is also just great.

Hello everybody, I have a great piece of news for you all. We will be getting a golden opportunity to celebrate the animated series Drawn Together one more time, as Drawn Together DVD movie is scheduled to be released by the end of 2009.
Comedy Central’s Drawn Together is a wonderful parody of distinct characters from varying backgrounds which had their share of sarcastic moments and is hard to erase from our memories. It has been two years since it has been cancelled, but my thirst for the show has been such that I still yearn for more. However, now my nerves have eased out as I can look forward to a movie based on the show.

Cartoon shows rarely have a plot that is based on a reality show. This is one area where Drawn Together has been a cult animated series. Having the characters live in a house that resembles the one used in the reality show The Real World and with characters even taking up challenges based on the challenges featured in reality TV shows, has categorized it as an animated reality show. In addition, the show has dealt with the modern day hot topics with witty humor and has had a hard hitting impact on the audiences.
“More Is Less”, this proverb goes perfectly well with this animated series as far as praising it is concerned. Coming back to the news of a movie based on Drawn Together, it has definitely brought smiles to the faces of its die hard fans like me. A movie based on the show will be a perfect way to turn the curtains down on this amusing animated series.
Drawn Together might be the name given to the show I feel that is actually represents how strongly it has drawn appreciation from various quarters of the audience. The bond I have with the show will be strengthened even more with release of a movie based upon it.

Hey people! Now that Drawn Together has been off air for nearly two years and there are no chances of its revival, I spend my time going through my favorite episodes of the series. As I was doing the same a few days back, I came across a few mistakes made by the creators of the animated series and I just thought pointing them out for you. You will be surprised that during Drawn Together season 1 and the Drawn Together season 2 for which the show aired, there were very few errors committed by the creators and they come to notice when you observed too closely. In addition, most of these errors occurred in the season 1 of the series with only a few errors accounted for in the season 2.

Even though the errors are minor and go unnoticed; it is fun to just look out specifically for them. There are errors that if noticed, reflect the discontinuity of the creation like a monster looking real in one moment and patched up in the next or one of the characters wearing something in one shot which is replaced by something else in the close-up. Then there are audio errors where the characters are seen conversing without any lip movement, like Clara thanking her step mom or the characters chanting something during a booze party.

I do not by any mean to insult the wonderful animators who gave us this beautiful parody on reality shows named Drawn Together. It is just a way of reminiscing the funny moments that I experienced during the viewing of the show. I loved Drawn Together and I was really disappointed by its cancellation. And these small and funny goof ups just gave me another excuse to see a rerun of my favorite series. So if you want to re-experience the fun of watching the show, you have just been given yet another funny reason. So enjoy your favorite show as you look for these silly but comic mistakes.

We all know very well that there’re no chances of Drawn Together’s retrieval with fourth season so we’re just soothing our longing to watch the episodes of ‘Drawn Together’ by watching the previous episodes of series.

Well, the whole third season Was very entertaining and all episodes were good…. We enjoyed a lot. Opening episode ‘Freaks & Geeks’ gave a good start to the season and the rest of the episodes followed the trend set by the first episode of season. It was very thrilling to see Captain Hero discovering that Greeks had moved in next door. Very soon, all his plans got shattered when he discovered that they wouldn’t let them rush their house so he set his sights on revenge. And, it was more-than-entertaining when we saw Ling-Ling’s sickly father falling in love with Toot.
And, the second episode of series was distinct because of its title. Its title was extremely big ‘Wooldoor Sockbat’s Giggle-Wiggle Funny Tickle Non-Traditional Progressive Multicultural Roundtable’ and can be considered as one of the biggest episode titles ever. Storyline was also fantastic, exactly like we always expect from ‘Drawn Together’ episodes.

It was the Spelling Bees competition and we saw Foxxy competing in it. We next saw that the city was in danger as Captain Hero’s son attacked on it. WOW………….. the next episode was ‘N.R.A.y RAY’ and here Captain Hero took up hunting. We also saw Ray-Ray in the walls of the Drawn Together house. Hanging out with cool kids was enough to make Captain Hero desperate in the episode entitled ‘Mexican’t Buy Me Love’.
Love was in the air as Spanky was in love with Charlotte, the spider. And, Ling-Ling was also ready to burn the dance floor with his dancing skills in the episode entitled ‘Charlotte’s Web of Lies’. It was the episode ‘Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care’ in which Ling-Ling was sent to foster care. And, in the end of the third season ‘Drawn Together’, we saw all housemates competing in an American Idol type talent contest.

So, above all are my favorite episodes of the third season of series. Although all were good but above ones entertained, at least me, more than the rest. You too can watch all episodes of series here!

Second episode of second season of ‘Drawn Together’ was really an entertaining one. Although ‘Drawn Together’ has always been a very sweet and funny animation series, but I guess that ‘Foxxy vs. the Board of Education’ was the funniest episode of the second season of series. Hey…. Why those characters are so smart and sweet?

It began with Spanky and Captain Hero who’re on the right track to make another joke about Xandir being gay. Later, Spanky, started flashing and cutting in and out and Captain Hero had to take him to the Hospital. Foxxy was seen solving another mystery. Spanky, who’s at the Hospital bed, discovered that he was suffering with deadly cuddly bear virus and he’s in need of health insurance. Cops required a copy of Foxxy’s mystery solving license. Ultimately, she decided to go to college and get the mystery solving license. Xandir let Spanky know that he had health insurance which would cover his spouse also. Spanky got a ray of opportunity and decided to gay marry Xandir so that he could avail the health insurance as being his partner.
Next we saw Xandir and Spanky at a skating show and Spanky was about to propose to Xandir. Circumstances made Xandir to say a yes to Spanky. Foxxy got ready to take Ling Ling’s SAT test only if she would become his best friend. When Xandir and Spanky were about to marry each other, Clara appeared and told them that gay marriage was an evil.

Spanky and Xandir went to Hospital to have pills for Spanky meanwhile Clara told the King of Insurance about their fake marriage. Foxxy got her test results and came to know that she had failed the test. On the other hand, Spanky and Xandir showed the snaps of their pseudo honeymoon to the King of Insurance. Apparently, they adopted a Pilipino baby. At the end of the episode, Spanky admitted to not being a gay and Foxxy got a mystery solving badge from police. The complete episode is available to download here…. You can also watch online!

Well, as per my thinking the best part of any animation series can only be the characters of the show. And, the whole credit of the success of any animated drama must be given to the characters only. I loved ‘Drawn Together’ very much when it was on air and of course I still love it. Throughout the three season long run, I loved all episodes and never skipped even a single episode. All episodes are my favorite and have downloaded all. If you too want to download any episode of ‘Drawn Together’, you can click here and download now.

Okay, let’s talk about the characters of ‘Drawn Together’ which made it our favorite animation series. And, the very darling characters are:
1.Princess Clara: A princess who is pampered, racist and hyper religious as well. She’s a parody of Disney princesses such as Ariel of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
2.Foxxy Love: The very clever, sharp tongued and sluttish mystery solving musician. She parodies Valerie Brown from Josie and the Pussycats. It’s also assumed that she’s a parody of Foxy Brown, heroine of the 1974 film of same name.
3.Ling-Ling: A lampoon of the Pokemon franchise fame Pikachu. He has supernatural powers and abilities and speaks pseudo-Japanese gibberish.
4.Wooldoor Sockbat: He’s voiced by James Arnold Taylor who spoofs the typical reality resisting attributes of Looney Tunes characters.
5.Xandir P. Wifflebottom: He is known for being hypersensitive, homosexual, overemotional, and effeminate and represents the video games heroes such as Link.
6.Spanky Ham: He parodies Internet Flash Cartoon characters and is a sex obsessed, toilet humored and obnoxious one.

Well, there are several other characters which have been an important part of the show. Writing about all would not be possible so just highlighting my favorite ones. You can write about the one whom you loved the most through comments.

A few days back when I was watching American Idol, you what I was reminded of “Drawn Together” the animated series. I know that the series ended in 2007, but still I was reminded of it. Wondering what is the connection between the two. Hold on, I am going on to that. The only connection between the two is the last episode of the third season, which was named “The American Idol Parody Clip Show”, now you get the connection. I still remember the season finale of he series, this was really a funny way to end the series. I remember how much my tummy was hurting, because I kept laughing through out the episode. May be the whole episode was not that funny, but the whole idea of parodying the hit reality series, American Idol, was what I found most amusing.

In the season finale of the season, they all organize a competition in the house. The housemates look back at the previous episodes of the series and they compete with each other. The Jew Producer hosts, the competition promising that at the end of the show, one of the housemates will be sent home. They are then made to sing some show favorites with some new twists. At the end of the competition it is revealed that Munchkin Mouse is being sent home and everyone else has been fired, thus ending the series.
Now, isn’t that a funny episode. I mean you cannot imagine the show while reading it, so I suggest you to watch the final episode of the season. Well, at least I found it very amusing and when I shared the thought with my friends they too found it very amusing. If you too want to laugh go ahead and watch the episode. And, if you want to share something then you can leave a comment.
